Job Description
- Gives direct nursing care.
- Identifies nursing needs of patients.
- Plans, gives and evaluate nursing care.
- Admits patients.
- Performs such nursing activities such as bathing and oral hygiene.
- Assist patient in moving, maintaining proper alignment of patients’ body and utilizing good body mechanic.
- Takes and record vital sign.
- Observes medical sepsis.
- Observes signs and symptoms, institutes remedial action when appropriate and record these in his/her chart.
- Report observations to the physician.
- Observes and respond to the patient’s emotional and spiritual need.
- Acts as a liaison between patients and hospital personnel.
- Interprets to the patients and his family their roles in promoting successful therapy and rehabilitation.
- Prepares patients for, and assists physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedure.
- Carriers out doctor’s legal values.
- Assists physicians when examining patients.
- Performs irrigations, catheterizations and gives enema.
- Administers and charts medications and patients reactions to medications.
- Instructs patients and families.
- Sees to it that equipment receive proper care maintenance.
- Discharge patients.
- Performs post-mortem care.
- Teaches and direct new professional nursing personnel.
- Acts as head nurse when so delegated.
- Receive and endorses ward equipment and supplies.
- Interpret hospital policies and procedures.
- Gives health teaching.
- Maintains good relationship with other hospital personnel.
- Attends meetings and conferences.
- Perform the other duties as maybe assigned to you from time to time by the corporation.
Qualification
- Graduate of BS Nursing and Licensed nurse.
- At least two (2) Years work experience.
